Joshua Pritchett

Narrative Designer, Game Artist, Level Designer, Game Designer

I am a graduate of Sheridan College's Bachelor of Game Design program. I have always had a passion for games, the stories they tell, and the smiles they bring. I am excited about meeting new teams and learning from my co-workers. I love writing, managing deadlines, conducting and analyzing playtests, and creating art in any media.

About Me

I am a 21-year-old man who was born in Ontario, but since moved up to Newfoundland, or "The Rock" as some call it. I picked up drawing at around 12-13 and have kept working on my skills as an artist and a storyteller ever since.

Since 2013, I decided to focus my passion on making games. The stories, scenes, and that elusive state of flow influenced my childhood and created such fond memories that I still carry to this day. I want to be the man that creates the games that give other people those kinds of memories.

My father has influenced me to be what I strongly believe to be a great team leader. I want to assure that I and my team have a safe work environment where we can all communicate and do our best work. If there's anything that someone needs to come to for something, whether it be for the project or for personal reasons, I wanna be the guy they can feel comfortable coming to.

Released!

My game Circuit Breakout: Dual Polarity has been released on Steam! Me and a team of 5 other talented individuals spent 8 months working on this game, and we're super proud of what we managed to create in that time. My Work

I have worked in every edge of game design during my time at Sheridan College. There is nothing I don't understand the fundamentals of, and nothing I am not willing to learn to make my games the best they can be. Below are the different design disciplines I have worked on over my years as a designer. Since my time at college, I have focused my efforts on being a top team leader, a narrative designer, and an artist, but I believe my other work is just as important to show my understanding of the other disciplines in game design.
